On my placement this week I have been introduced to the retail sector at PC World. I get along with my colleagues very well which helps get through the day! Other duties have included:
- Storing Point Of Sale Material in a logical and scientific manor to improve efficiently.
- Stocking shelves in store and in the warehouse.
- Counter-witnessing deliveries.
- Helping order the televisions by price and size logic.
- Checking and replacing incorrect price tickets.
- Labelling laptop boxes with their product code, unique to DSGi, to allow the sales team to be more efficient in locating the customers chosen product.
- Organising the laptops by manufacturer and ensuring all labels are forward-facing.
- Stocking and rotating the cables so similar purpose cables are together and not at opposite ends of the aisle.
